Weezy can breathe a lil’ easy. Today, an Arizona court sentenced him to three years probation for his 2008 drug possession charge. Last week, Wayne plead guilty to the charge via video feed. His probation will begin following his release from Rikers Island later this year.
It’s good to hear he’s out for good (or at least until he does something else) in November, so he can get back to the music.

As the cover shows, this month is full of great music off of great albums. Eminem’s Recovery, Drake’s Thank Me Later, and Big Boi’s Sir Luscious Left Foot albums all leaked this month, and they’re all amazing albums! Jeezy’s Trap Or Die 2 also graces the cover, as he has put out 3 very nice remixes to songs off Trap Or Die 2 this month.
Eminem lands his sixth straight No. 1 album; selling 741,000 copies in the first week of Recovery’s release. Em’s album also had the second-biggest digital week in history (255k); only behind Coldplay’s Viva La Vida (288k).
For once, I think a rapper’s leaked album actually helped it sell. I heard people bumpin it everywhere I went before it was even released, and the fans came through and bought the album. If you haven’t copped it yet, do it soon!

This is a nice album, and this time I mean it (unlike that G-Unit song). Let me know what you think. If you like the album, buy it in stores July 6th.
The final numbers aren’t in until tomorrow, but Hits Daily Double tally that Eminem’s Recovery has moved over 750,000 copies. If the figures hold up, the album becomes this year’s highest seller and Em’s fifth consecutive solo number one. It’s good to see Em do such great number even in this state of album sales.
